Transport FAQ
I get a lot of questions about how transport works so hopefully the following questions and help
1. Who transports the animals?
A: Transport is done by myself, fellow breeder friends or trusted transporters that I've worked with before. If you want to know who you are meeting with, just ask! I typically do smaller local deliveries within 2 hours of Spring Grove, PA. Larger trips are done by breeders passing through the area or professional transporters.
2. Who fills out the forms and handles payment?
A:Any transport offered on my website/facebook page; I will fill the forms and handle the payment of (it's all part of the conversation). If you are booking through another transport group, you are responsible to the forms, payment, being sure I am available to meet with them and any additional fees for boarding/travel on my part.
3. How does transport work?
A: Small local transports are more flexible. I typically offer them on weekends. I will only meet in a public location that we agree to before scheduling a time/date. Larger transport routes have very strict schedules and will have a list of dates/times available. These routes are not able to be changed so you need to be sure that you are able to meet at one of the stops before committing.
4. What do you need to provide to book transport?
A: I will need a good phone number for you and your facebook information for the group chats. A deposit is asked to schedule your spot/s on transport. Full payment is due 5 days before the beginning of the route. If you need to cancel, please let me know asap! There is a limited window to get a refund on transport and if you miss it.... you may not get any refund. Transports are flexible with who they can meet with. So if you need a friend or family member to pick up, that's fine as long as we are informed who we are meeting with.
5. What do you need to bring when you meet with transport to pick up the animal?
A: You will need a safe carrier (with bedding) to pick up your animal. The transport will have a bag of pellets for you so dont forget to ask for it. Please do your best to be on time. Even a few minutes late can affect the whole route and we try very hard to stay on schedule.
